A month and a half after starting this medication my 18 month old son had the same problems as in this case. He was hospitalized for a week and was given 2 medications to help lower his liver emzymes which were higher than the 22 year old female. His spleen and liver were both enlarged from this. He had visits with the GI Dr once a week for 2 months and had blood work done 2x a week to check his LFTS. 6 months later his LFTS were back in normal range but his liver was a little bit enlarged still. He has not had any long term problems. Thank God for the wonderful Doctors at Texas Children's Hospital.
