Dear Editor, Greetings from India, I thank the authors for this report. I Just have one doubt. Was HIV infection ruled out in this patient. HIV infection can present with a similar clinical picture. I do understand that a family history of the daughter being affected with the same disease makes HIV infection as the etiology less likely, but a screen for HIV will make the evaluation complete.
